Isolation

Mag-Tran's custom isolation transformers have primary and secondary windings physically separated by design to permit magnetic coupling between isolated circuits while minimizing electrostatic coupling. These types of transformers often have shielding to reduce the coupling of undesirable electromagnetic signals. The standard isolation between the input and output is typically up to 2,500 Vrms.

Electrostatic Shielding

The use of electrostatic shielding helps to eliminate common-mode noise on the line. By using an electrostatic shield, we help send high-voltage noise spikes to ground, thereby improving the power quality.
